the "elite" village of the coast. Situated at 1200 feet of height ;its historical centre is mainly pedestrian and on its piazzetta is the Duomo, the Villa Rufolo (residence of Richard Wagner in 1880 who found there his inspiration for the second act of his Parsifal) with an enchanting view over the coastline from its wonderful gardens. For those who don't mind walking, the other attraction is the Villa Cimbrone also rich in statues, busts and beautiful gardens too. Ravello is entirely to be walked around also for its number of medieval noble palaces which through the centuries have been transformed into very elegant hotels.
