The city is well represented by its Royal Palace started in 1751 and completed in 1848. Planned by the royal bourbon architect Luigi Vanvitelli it counts 1200 rooms and a total of 1750 windows. The Royal apartments still have some of the original pieces of furniture and mural paintings, chandeliers of 18 and 19 century. The Royal Park with its English Garden is worth of a visit too.
